Installing recessed lighting greatly enhances of any room. Whether you're renovating a kitchen, living room, or hallway, recessed lights create a polished look while illuminating effectively. Once the layout is finalized, look for objects blocking the installation area. Pinpoint joist locations to prevent interference. Look out for electrical wires, pipes, or air ducts that might interfere with installation. Consider making test holes and using a coat hanger to feel behind.


Now, make precise cuts for the housings. Most recessed light housings come with a guide to trace the hole. Transfer the template design to the surface. Then, precisely slice through with a keyhole or hole saw. Double-check dimensions before cutting.


With the holes cut, connect the wiring from source to the starting light. If connecting to an existing circuit, confirm it can support the added load. Secure the cables using clamps. Observe all applicable electrical code requirements. Secure black to black, white to white, and ground to ground. Push the joined wires into the enclosure. Then, secure the housing into the ceiling as per manufacturer’s instructions.


Select the appropriate housing type for your situation. Insulation Contact-rated housings are required for tight spaces. Non-IC fixtures must have space around them. Opt for sealed housings to reduce air leakage.

After securing the enclosures and completing wiring, add the decorative trim and PARTIZANI light source. Use LED trims to reduce power use and replacement frequency. Ensure the bulb type and wattage match the fixture’s rating. Once everything is assembled, restore power and test the lights.
